Short Vowel Game with Short Vowel Tutorial
  • Created By melissa
  • Description:
This game has a few minute explanation before the game. The game uses pictures, words, and sounds to help the student build words. When a student gets a word wrong it makes a honking sound. Direct your student to think about the sounds each letter makes then try another choice.
  • Purpose:
I would recommend the parent plays the game before sitting down with the student. When sitting together with your student watch the tutorial and stop ever so often to check for understanding by asking questions. Keep in mind the tutorial is a bit advanced and your student will probably not understand everything that is said.
Some questions you can ask are:
    -What did you hear/ discover?
    -Were there any confusing parts?
-Can you put that in your own words?
-What do you think we should remember before playing the game?
