In this video she discusses persuasive writing and what it is. With persuasive writing, a writer takes a position FOR or AGAINST an issue and writes to convince the reader to believe or do something. In persuasive writing, your topic or issue is what your essay is about, it is the subject you want your readers to take a position on. She gives examples of topics students may be interested in. She then gives “Tips” on how to start a persuasive writing essay. Video is of good quality, it is done in Power Point format. Great explanation of what persuasive writing is about and steps on how to write an essay. Good for writers in grades three through middle school. (5:43)
